Quality Systems Manager
Marisco is seeking a Quality Systems Manager to lead and enhance the quality management systems that ensure the safety, legality, authenticity, and sustainability of our wine.

Marisco is seeking a Quality Systems Manager to lead and enhance the quality management systems that ensure the safety, legality, authenticity, and sustainability of our wine.
Based at our Waihopai River Winery, this role reports to the General Manager – Winery and works closely with staff across multiple departments and sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining an effective, company-wide wine safety and quality management system.
- Working across departments to foster continuous improvement and uphold shared values and attitudes.
- Partnering with management to set, monitor and achieve annual wine safety and quality objectives.
- Completing and annually reviewing wine safety and quality risk assessments and plans.
- Managing corrective actions for all wine safety and quality non-conformances.
- Maintaining traceability and recall systems, including regular testing.
- Overseeing internal audit cycles to verify system effectiveness and compliance with HACCP/TACCP/VACCP, BRCGS and WSMP requirements.
- Managing customer specifications, compliance documentation, complaints and reporting.
- Analysing quality data for management and board reports, identifying trends for product and process improvements.
- Keeping management informed of legislative updates, industry standards, OMAR changes and risks related to raw materials or the supply chain.
- Coordinating external audits (e.g. WSMP, BRCGS, SWNZ).
- Supporting the HR and Health & Safety Manager in maintaining Marisco’s SMETA ethical accreditation.
About you:
The successful applicant will be an organised, self-starter with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels of business. Tertiary qualifications and previous wine industry experience would be an advantage however applicants with the above noted qualities, experienced in a related field and an ability to learn quickly, will also be considered.
